Overview
The 052C type guided missile destroyer (No. 170/171) is mainly designed for air defense, anti-submarine warfare and anti-ship attacks in cooperation with other ships. She is the first-generation air defense missile destroyer of the Chinese Navy with phased array radar and vertical launch system. Four fixed phased array radars are on the front building. The SR64 air search radar on the top of the foremast replaced the “top plate.” The “Haihong-9” anti-aircraft missile vertical launcher also replaced the Russian-made “Reeve” vertical launcher. Length: 154 meters Width: 17 metres Displacement: 7000 tons.
